Return & Refund Policy

Our products are fragile, please read before purchasing.

Important, fragile goods notice

GRC fibre-cement pots are heavy and brittle. They can crack or chip if dropped, struck, or improperly handled. We take great care in packaging, but once goods leave our facility and are accepted by you, responsibility for safe handling passes to you. Please inspect every item before signing for delivery.

What we cover

  • Transit damage

    Damage that clearly occurred during courier delivery (cracked, broken, or missing pieces). Must be reported within 24 hours of delivery with photos.

  • Manufacturing defects

    Structural defects present at the time of manufacture (e.g. significant voids, embedded foreign material, failure under normal use). Must be reported within 7 days of receipt.

  • Incorrect item received

    You received a different product or size to what was ordered. Report within 48 hours of receipt.

What we do not cover

  • Change of mind, incorrect size selection, or colour preferences after purchase.
  • Damage caused by dropping, striking, or mishandling after delivery/collection.
  • Damage caused by incorrect installation, stacking, or storage.
  • Cracking due to water freezing inside a sealed pot.
  • Natural weathering, surface marks, or minor cosmetic variation inherent to handcrafted GRC.
  • Damage noted after a delivery waybill has been signed without noting the damage.
  • Items that have been modified, painted, drilled, or otherwise altered.
  • Damage caused by chemicals, solvents, or acid-based fertilisers.

How to submit a return / claim

    Photograph everything immediately

    Take clear photos of the damaged item(s), the packaging, and any visible courier damage to the box. Do this before moving the pot.

    Email us within the time window

    Send your order number, photos, and a brief description to info@potsforgrabs.co.za. Transit damage: within 24 hours. Manufacturing defects: within 7 days.

  3. 3

    We assess and respond

    We will review your claim within 2 business days and advise whether a replacement, credit, or refund is appropriate.

  4. 4

    Resolution

    Approved claims are resolved by replacement (subject to stock), store credit, or refund at our discretion. We do not cover return shipping costs for customer-caused damage.
